The League of Women Voters Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids Area (LWV ABC) is a 501(c)3 non-partisan political organization of adult and young adult volunteers who believe that our representative democracy needs citizens involved in public discussions.  LWV ABC is active in many communities in Anoka County and northern Hennepin County, in addition to Anoka, Blaine and Coon Rapids.

LWV ABC does advocate for positions but does not support candidates for office or political parties.

Members of LWV ABC are also members of the League of Women Voters Minnesota (LWVMN) and the national League of Women Voters (LWVUS).  At all levels, the League of Women Voters:

      • Encourages informed and active participation in government
      • Works to increase understanding of public policy issues
      • Influences public policy through education and advocacy

Opportunities for Member Involvement

We offer many ways to be involved at local, state, regional, and national levels. You might observe a local meeting (Observer Corps), help at a League-sponsored forum or discussion, serve on a study committee (Our Action and Advocacy), lobby the state legislature on the League's positions on issues and policies, register voters (Voter Services) or simply attend League meetings and events (see our Upcoming Events).  Attend any of our activities to determine which ones fit your interests and schedule.
